St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day turned out to be such a nice day! Kayla really enjoyed playing outside on her swing set! She is loving it even more than last year because she can do everything all by herself. Shawn, Cassandra and Sophia came over for corned beef and cabbage too. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of it, Kayla thought it was great that she could help push Sophia on the swing!

Oranges!

This picture is SO Kayla! She loves looking up into the
sky for birds and airplanes!

As usual, it has been forever since my last post. So in order to fill-in everyone on what has been going on, I decided to start with the most recent stuff and sort of go backwards. I think it will be easiest this way.

Saturday was Great-Grandma's 85th Birthday. So on Sunday we went out to dinner to celebrate. We wanted to take some fresh picked oranges to her and Grandpa and Lola so we went out to the backyard. Kayla was such a big helper! She got very into it!

Officially, the last day :(

I feel a little down today...it is the last day of my Winter break from school. I was lucky enough to have 6 weeks off this time, and I almost think it was too long. I feel like Kayla has grown so much over these past 6 weeks. She doesn't have a bottle anymore, she doesn't need to ride in the car to take a nap, she has been going to bed fairly easily, just the little things that make me feel like she is becoming such a big girl. It is not that I don't want to go back to work, because I love my job, it is that I am going to miss our lazy days where we didn't have to be anywhere or do anything if we didn't feel like it. I had so much fun with family and friends over this break I just don't want it to end!
These pictures represent all of these feelings i had today when I laid Kayla down for her nap :(

Too far behind!

I told myself I was going to work hard on the blog while I was on break...well, my break is officially over today, and I have been horrible. I wanted to post some Christmas pictures before Valentine's Day rolls around :)

Kayla in the middle of her piles of gifts!

She thought it was so much fun to climb inside the bag of garbage (wrapping and issue paper)

Christmas morning...trying on her new rain boots

Pooped on Christmas day - taking a nap on Grandma Karen

We had a wonderful holiday season! Sorry the pictures are so behind. I actually have more to post, but this is it for now.

Deacon Dave's Light Display

Last night we went to see Deacon Dave's light display. This is a house in Livermore that has thousands of lights on display. As you can see from Kayla's eyes above, she loved it!

I told you, thousands of lights!

It must take forever to put all of this up, but even worse to take it down:)
Thank you Deacon Dave for putting such a wonderful display for all to see! We had a great time. I think this will definitely be a new tradition for us.

Kayla's (and Mommy's) Friends

On Sunday, Kayla and I got together with Tiff, Ashlyn, Colton, Nicole and Ryder. We all had so much fun! We ate yummy food from Buca, played and exchanged gifts.

Here is a picture of our family room after we opened gifts!

Good thing Colton is such an easy going little guy!

We heard banging from Kayla's room and this what we found!

Ryder gave the girls the cutest little backpacks with their names on them and they had to try them on :)

We had such a fun day! Thanks all for such an awesome day!

Kayla and Kona

Kayla just loves giving Kona kisses!

Kona says "Get me outta here!"

Kayla decided she would cooperate!
While trying to get some more pictures of Kayla in front of the tree, we thought maybe we could get some of Kayla and Kona together. Wow, was that difficult! It is hard enough to get Kayla by herself, much less with the dog that keeps moving too! Anyway, this is what we got!
