Catching Up!

As usual, I have not been very good at keeping up with our blog. Our summer has been pretty busy so far. To start off the summer, quite a few people had graduations to celebrate. Our niece Alicia graduated from Granada High School, just around the corner from us and we had the party for her at our house.

It has been SO hot here, so Kayla has been enjoying the water. She just loves her "Splish and Splash Island" that Shawn and Cassandra gave her for her birthday.

For Father's Day, Keith had to work, so Kayla and I went to visit Grandpa. We went out to lunch. It was a really nice day and we enjoyed eating outside.

We also took Kayla to her first baseball game. She seemed to enjoy it, even though she didn't watch a minute of the game (of course!).

And finally, to celebrate the 4th of July and Keith's birthday, we went up to Grandma Karen's for a full day of BBQ, the lake and fireworks. Kayla loves the water and people, so she fully enjoyed herself!

Summer Fun Begins!

We have been so busy lately, even though I have been off of school. Michael came to visit over Memorial Day weekend, and it was so good to see him! He will be finishing up with flight school in about a month and he also just got promoted to CAPTAIN!

We got a chance to go to the pool with cousins Tori and Faith! It was so much fun and Kayla loved the pool and the water!

Birthday Fun!

After Kayla rested up from her big party, she had more fun on her actual birthday too! She swung on her swing for almost an hour!

She got so many phone calls from people wishing her a happy birthday!

But, she pooped out in the end!

Kayla also got one last piece of birthday cake to celebrate her special day!

Happy 1st Birthday Kayla!

Kayla is 1 today! We had her party on Saturday and Kayla had lots of fun! We wanted to share some pictures from the day of fun.

As you can see, Kayla REALLY enjoyed her cake!

I will post more pictures later...I have to get some pictures from other people. I didn't get that many on my camera, I was a little busy! ;)

Swing Set!

Yesterday, my Dad, Keith and Shawn put together Kayla's new swing set! It is her birthday present from her Grandparents and Great-Grandparents. It was quite a task, but in the end, Kayla has an awesome swing set to play on for many years to come! After about 8 hours of assembly Kayla got to try it out! She absolutely LOVED it! Her smiles and excitement made it all worth while!

Baseball Fan!

With baseball season kicking off, we had to get Kayla into the "swing" of things! Here she is with her pink Giants baseball hat.

Easter Bunny and Easter

Sorry, it's kinda late but we wanted to share Kayla's Easter Bunny picture and her 11 month pictures in her Easter dress.

She absolutely LOVED seeing the Easter bunny! I was so nervous that Kayla was going to like it, or be scared, but she was all smiles. She even wanted to give the bunny a kiss!
