Sleeping & Crawling

As usual, sorry it has been so long. I am finding that the hardest part about this whole blog thing is uploading pictures. So, now that I have uploaded some pictures, I can update the blog. Kayla is almost 10 months now has been crawling like a crazy little lady! She gets into anything and everything she can. Her favorite things are the fireplace tools, the vertical blinds over the sliding glass window and the kitchen drawers. The sleeping is getting better. At least she will sleep in her crib to start the night off for a few hours. It is getting her to go back in the crib when she wakes up that is a challenge. I hope with time, she will only get better!

As many of you know, we have an orange tree in the backyard and Kayla had her first taste of what an orange peel tastes like. Grandpa and Lola came over and picked some oranges. Kayla could not wait to get her hands on one!

I still need to upload her 9 months, Valentine's pictures. They are coming soon!

Moving!

Well, we are officially moved into our new house. Last weekend was crazy but with the help of our family and friends, we were able to get our entire house set up! We are still getting adjusted, but we are loving it!

The picture above, shows Kayla trying out her crib. She likes to stand in it, but she does not like to sleep in it!

Grandma Karen also came down for the weekend to help us move. Kayla just loves Buttons and cannot stop smiling and laughing when the dog is around! We are still putting the finishing touches on our house. We are hanging pictures, adding decorations, etc. but it is very fun!

We alos took Kayla's 9 month pictures today. Stay tuned...I will post them as soon as we get them!

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry!

Okay, okay, I know that I have been really bad at keeping this blog updated. So instead of trying to catch up on all of the things I missed (Christmas, New Years, etc.) I am just going to try to start again.

As many of you know, this past month has been CRAZY! We were packing like crazy to get ready to move, Christmas came and went, and we moved in with my Mom the day after Christmas because the house that we were buying was still in escrow. During all of this I was feeling awful, but I was not sure what was wrong. New Years Eve came and I starting feeling really weird. It felt like I had a bite on the top of my head. On New Years day I was feeling worse and by that night I knew something was wrong with me. The next day I went to the doctor and they told me that I had SHINGLES!

It was terrible! I felt so sick and then I found out that I would not be able to touch Kayla until I was healed because there was a change she could get the chickenpox if she came in contact with my shingles. So, all in all, it was a pretty rough week. Meanwhile, we were still trying to get everything in line for the house that we were buying.

So, as of January 22nd, we are the new owners of our house in Livermore. We are actually getting ready to move in this Saturday. The house is being worked on right now (new paint, scrapping popcorn ceilings, etc.) but we are very excited! We feel like things are actually coming together! So after this big move, I am going to try my hardest to keep up with this blog again.

Thanksgiving @ Grandma Karen's

So, I am attempting to get the blog caught up-to-date. We went to Karen's for Thanksgiving this year and had a great time!

The day after Thanksgiving we went the Grass Valley craft faire and Kayla got to see Santa and Mrs. Claus for the first time!

It has been way too long!

I know, I know, it has been way too long! We have been so busy with trying to finalize everything with selling our condo and looking for a new house. I only have one more week of school left, so I will have more free time very soon! It will take me a few posts to get up-to-date, but back in early November we all went to visit Uncle Jeff in Utah. One of his friends is a photographer and she was able to capture some great shots of Kayla and the family! These are just a few of the awesome pictures she got!

5 months & Halloween Pictures!

Hi everyone! Sorry it has been so long since we have posted. I guess I just haven't been taking many pictures, so there hasn't been a lot to post. Michael so nicely reminded me that the blog needed a new post, so it was perfect timing because we just got some new pictures! We are excited for Kayla's 1st Halloween...as you can see she is the cutest little ladybug!
